by Mickey on Feb.08, 2010, under Jokes, Laugh, Uncategorized
Men are just happier people—
What do you expect from such simple creatures?
Your last name stays put.
The garage is all yours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.
Chocolate is just another snack.
You can be President.
You can never be pregnant.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
You can wear NO shirt to a water park.
Car mechanics tell you the truth.
The world is your urinal.
You never have to drive to another petrol station restroom because this one is just too icky.
You don’t have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
Same work, more pay.
Wrinkles add character.
Wedding dress R5000. Tux rental-R200.
People never stare at your chest when you’re talking to them.
New shoes don’t cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
One mood all the time.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.
You can open all your own jars.
You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.
If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.
Your underwear is R18.95 for a three-pack.
You almost never have strap problems in public.
You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.
Everything on your face stays its original colour.
The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.
You only have to shave your face and neck.
You can play with toys all your life.
One wallet and one pair of shoes — one colour for all seasons.
You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.
You can ‘do’ your nails with a pocket knife.
You have freedom of choice concerning growing a moustache.
You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24th in 25 minutes.
No wonder men are happier.
Man Shot Dead In First ‘Twitter Murder’
by Mickey on Jan.13, 2010, under Uncategorized
An online war of words could become key evidence in an upcoming trial for what has been dubbed the first “Twitter murder”.
Kwame Dancy, who was studying to be a nurse, was fatally shot in the neck on December 1 close to his home in Harlem, New York.
His childhood friend Jameg Blake was arrested two days after the killing and has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge.
Tweets exchanged by the pair, both 22, on the microblogging site could prove crucial to the murder trial, according to reports.
The men are said to have fallen out over a girl and become increasingly hostile to each other in the run-up to the shooting.
Their angry tweets – with friends also contributing – are thought to have inflamed the situation and could feature as evidence at the trial.
Hours before his death Dancy posted the following message, interpreted by some as directed at Blake: “n***** is lookin for u don’t think I won’t give up ya address for a price betta chill asap!”
The victim’s mother Madeline Smith said she was shocked that the pair’s online arguments could have played a role in her son’s death.
“That’s not a reason to shoot somebody,” she told the New York Daily News. “That’s crazy. I don’t know what’s going on with that Twitter thing.”
She said of her son: “He said, ‘Mommy, I’m going to be a nurse.’ And look at this – we’ll never know how far he would have gone. His dream was snatched from him, over foolishness.”

Four More Bodies Found At US Rapist’s Home
by Mickey on Nov.04, 2009, under Death, Tragedies, Uncategorized
Four more bodies have been found at the house of a convicted rapist in Cleveland, Ohio, US police say.
Officers made the gruesome discovery in the back garden of Anthony Sowell’s property.
A skull was also found in the basement, police spokesman Lt Thomas Stacho said.
It takes the total number of bodies found at the property to 10 – after six badly decomposed corpses were previously discovered.
All six were female and had been murdered. Five of them had been strangled, police said.
Sowell, 50, has been charged with five counts of aggravated murder.
He was also charged with rape, assault and kidnapping, officers said.
Police made the earlier discoveries when they went to the property on Thursday to arrest Sowell on charges of assault and rape, but he had disappeared.
Investigators said they found one body in a shallow grave in the back garden. The rest were inside the house.
The suspect was arrested near his home on Saturday afternoon after a resident recognised him and notified police.
He was detained when officers spotted him walking down the street in his neighbourhood.
Sowell was convicted of rape in 1989 and spent 15 years in prison before being released four years ago.
Police are checking missing person records dating back to June 2005 when Sowell was released from prison.

Shock Over Cop’s Suicide
by Mickey on Oct.19, 2009, under Uncategorized
A female police officer from The Reeds in Centurion is presumed to have first shot her baby daughter and 12-year-old son with her service pistol, before committing suicide with the same weapon.
The bodies of Anneke van Niekerk, who worked at the police’s criminal records centre in Pretoria, and her five-month-old daughter Mia, were found on Saturday. They were discovered next to each other in the main bedroom of their house in La Monique security complex in Sacharia street.
Van Niekerk’s wounded son, Shaun, 12, was lying near his mother and sister. He died as a result of his wound a few hours later at the Unitas hospital in Centurion.
“My only grandchild is dead,” the baby’s grandmother said outside the house on Saturday afternoon, after she had seen the body of her granddaughter, Mia.
The grandmother, who would only give her name, Helenka, cried and said she is deeply traumatised.
Shortly thereafter, the police covered both the bodies of Van Niekerk and her baby in a sheet, carried them from the house, and loaded them in a police vehicle.
It was Clive van Niekerk, Shaun’s father and Van Niekerk’s ex-husband, who discovered the gruesome scene when he went there to pick up his son.
Police spokesperson Wanda Olivier said Van Niekerk’s service pistol was found on the scene.
She said when Shaun’s father showed up at the house on Saturday, there was no answer. “The doors were open so he walked in and found the mother and children in the main bedroom.” (continue reading…)
